Job Description
- Production System Management: Lead, maintain, and optimize production systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security for the payment gateway platform.
- Incident & Problem Management: Act as the first line of defense in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving critical production issues in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prompt resolution.
- Monitoring & Automation: Implement proactive monitoring, alerting systems, and automation scripts to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Database Management (SQL): Manage and optimize relational databases, including performance tuning, writing complex SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity in a high-transaction environment.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage Linux-based servers, including server configuration, patching, and troubleshooting for optimal performance and security.
- Deployment & Release Management: Lead the deployment process for production systems, ensuring smooth releases with minimal disruption and downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of new features and updates, and to provide technical input for scaling payment systems.
- Performance Optimization: Identify system bottlenecks, database issues, and infrastructure inefficiencies, recommending and implementing optimizations.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure production environments comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS), and best practices in security and data privacy.
Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of experience in production engineering, operations, or systems
